Friends

It has been over 6 months since I left my job. The hardest part of leaving was my coworkers. I had such strong friendships and I was afraid after I left we would fall out of touch. But we haven't. We try to get together every month or so for a girls night. We always have a lot of fun. I get to catch up on what has been going on since I left and we catch up on our lives. It is great. Tonight we went to Jills house. She has the cutest house in Kirkwood. It is such a great little city. Bryce has always wanted to live there and now I am starting to understand why.

Target

Ahhh...Finally! After 5 long weeks I finally went to Target today.

You have you know that I have an addiction. I LOVE Target. Especially on Tuesdays. That is they day they take fresh markdowns so every Tuesday I would go and partake in the new sales. I was buying stuff just to buy it. I finally realized there was an addiction and I had to stop. So I did...cold turkey. It was not easy. I would drive by and long to go in but would not allow myself,. But yesterday was the day. I did it. I went in, I purchased and I have the bags to prove it. It is like my life is whole again.

Yum Yum

I know you are wondering what the heck this is. It just happens to be one of my favorite meals. Crazy I know. It is a delightful dish I like to call noodles and tomato juice. And really, that is all it is. My mom grew up eating this and passed it along to our family. My sisters and I love it and dad and josh hate it. I can't blame them really. There is no substace. It is just a quick dinner I always have when Bryce is in class and it is on my diet. You should try it sometime.

I got to go to Colorado today to meet up with Bryce, Bridget, Nina and Brent. I have been looking forward to this all week. We do not get to see them very much so I was excited to get to spend some time with the family. This is Brent, Nina and Bridget on a gondala in Breckinridge. They went there today before they came to get me from the airport.

Valentine's Day

Bryce got to spend Valentines Day with our beautiful niece, Bridget. He got to go to her school and meet her new friends. This is them at their Valentine's Dinner that my sister in law Nina made. YUM YUM.

I honestly thought Bryce forgot about Valentines Day. I know it was only the 13th but I was taking him to the airport at 5am the next morning so I thought he just forgot. But when I went to get in bed I saw it on my dresser. A card and the Michael Buble CD. My hubby didn't forget afterall!! I love that guy.

I did not leave the house once on Saturday. My fever was gone but I still didn't feel great. I tell you what, there is nothing like being with your mom and dad when you are sick. Every move I made they were right there seeing what I needed. Juice, medicine, kleenex, you name it they got it for me. It was fantastic. Next time I get sick I am going to them right away. As the day went by I started feeling better. Josh, Jaime and the boys came over in the evening and brought the Wii. I was not up to playing but it was fun watching. Heidi beat everyone in bowling. The girl got 5 strikes in a row. She is hard core.
This is how Friday started out. Me, the dogs, and my bed. As the day went on I convinced myself I was better. So that helped me convince Bryce that we could still go to Indiana. Not a good idea. By the time we got there my fever was 103.4. Not so good!

Thursday, February 7, 2008

This is how I spent all day Thursday. Sick on the coach watching Lost. By the end of the day I was so sick of the TV. Don't worry- it didn't last long. The TV and I are BFF's again.

February 6, 2008- Catch Up!!

So sorry for the delay in my blog. I got the flu for about a week and I kept putting off the catch up game. But no more. I am going to post a picture for each day I missed. Here we go.
70 degrees Monday + 25 degrees Tuesday = 102 fever on Wednesday. :(

Lake Chapman

Today I left work to go and vote. I picked a bad time to leave because it was just starting to pour down rain. A guy was walking to the college in the rain so I asked if he wanted a ride. When i rolled my window down it chose that moment to get stuck. It would not go back up. So I had to drive to the car place with my window down and the rain pouring in. It was just fantastic. It really has not stopped raining since. This pic is what our backyard looks like. That was about 5 hours ago. It has not stopped raining since I took this so I cannot imagine what it looks like now.

My Belated Christmas Present

I got this card for Christmas from Josh, the webmaster in my office. When you open it you hear Michael Scott say "Presents are the best way to show someone how much you care. It is like this tangible thing that you can point to and say “Hey man, I love you this many dollars-worth”. It also had a note saying that my present was on backorder. Well...it finally came in. It is none other than this here mug. I like to think it is because I really am the best boss ever but in all honesty I think it is because it is from the Office and it happens to say boss on it. I'll just keep believing what I want to believe.

The reason I am glad the Giants Won the Superbowl

Before today I could have cared less about the Superbowl. If someone would have made me choose a team I would have said the Giants. My reasoning, the Patriots have won a lot of them so the Giants need a turn. Good reasoning...huh? But because it was the Superbowl I felt like I needed to watch. Sort of. I was really reading a book most of the time, only pausing my book to watch the much anticipated commericials. In all honestly, that is what I cared about. But there was that one moment I happen to look up during the game that everything inside of me changed. It was 7-3. The Patriots were up and they had just made a good play. Or should I say Asante Samuel made a good play. At least that is how he acted. He started pounding his chest and went a hooping and hollering to the crowd. I seriously wanted to jump thru the TV and flick him in his face. I cannot stand cocky people. I am sorry Asante, that play is not all about you. You are not the sole reason your team made it to the Superbowl. So from that point forward I made it my duty to cheer for the Giants. When they made that next touchdown I was like a proud momma. But things turn grim with the Patriots scored and there were only 2 minues and 35 seconds left. My heart was pounding all fast and I was getting nervous. I kept thinking about Asante pounding his chest. I did not want him to be victorious. Then it came with 35 seconds to go. The Giants scored. I literally jumped out of my chair and screamed like I was a die hard fan who had followed them all season. I think my family was a little startled. The girl with her nose in her book the whole game just leapt out of her chair and screamed. But I had no shame. I think I might get into football next year. This was kinda fun. :)

I have been in St.Louis for 20 years and tonight was my very first time eating on The Hill. It is a St. Louis hotspot but I have neglected it for so long. We chose Rigazzi's. Sadly, I was not too hip on it. The tables are really close together and you feel kind of cramped, it took forever to get our food and the main course was not that fantastic. Although they did have amazing fried artichokes for an appetizer. The highlight of the night was spending time with our friend Jennie, Josh, Erin and Paul. We always have a great time together.

Day One

Well...it is my first day and already I am having issues. My camera is missing. How am I supposed to have a picture a day if I have no camera to take pictures with. I have retraced my steps but still nothing. The last time I remember having it is the night of the Hannah Montana Concert. I came home, uploaded my pics and from that point on it is all a blur. So, until I find it I will have to use old pics. It is a shame too. We had an amazing snow last night and the are picture perfect moments everywhere I turn. Sad, I know.
